Material selection of gasket for plate heat exchanger:

Most people know that rubber sealing gaskets are commonly used materials, such as EPDM, nitrile rubber, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, fluororubber and so on.

EPDM The service temperature is – 25 ~ 180 ℃. It is suitable for fluid medium superheated water, steam, atmospheric ozone, non petroleum based lubricating oil, weak acid, weak base, ketone, alcohol, ester, etc.
NBR The service temperature is – 15 ~ 130 ℃. It is suitable for various mineral oil products such as fluid medium, light fuel oil, lubricating oil, animal and vegetable oil, hot water, salt water, etc. 
HNBR The service temperature is – 15 ~ 160 ℃. It is suitable for fluid medium high-temperature water, crude oil, sulfur-containing oil and organic sulfur-containing compounds, some heat transfer oils, new refrigerant R134a and ozone environment.
FKM The service temperature is – 15 ~ 200 ℃. It is suitable for fluid medium, such as concentrated sulfuric acid, caustic soda, heat transfer oil, alcohol fuel oil, acid fuel oil, high-temperature steam, chlorine water, phosphate, etc.
